I'm guessing that's why she's so strong in spirit for being such a little girl!"

9/15/06 Update:

Hey Laura,
Alphie's doing great. he's a local celebrity in town. he hasn't been out much yet.....his last shot is on the 20th. Then I'm sure I'll have tons of great stories. Right now his favorite pastime is running circles around the living room furniture (he has it mapped out the same every time), running tight fast circles around me when I'm sitting on the ground with him. It's so bizarre and SO hilarious! We love it! He barrels up and down our hallway all day collecting socks. It sounds like thunder! He growls uncontrollably if we're playing with him and we pick him up when he's trying to be "tough".....it's a riot......he really thinks he's tough. But.....when he hurts himself (he's obviously still teething)....he whimpers like a little baby ONLY if someone is watching. I tested him on this one the other day. I heard a thump and peeked around the corner and he shook it off.......but when he thumps into something when I'm there he wails and wails (totally exaggerates) until I pick him up....then he bites me. So, he's a bit of a drama queen! He is so entertaining.....EVERYONE loves him already!

     "I told Bob that there was no way I could love another dog as much as Alphie. In fact, I was worried that I'd favor Alphie once Patsy came. Well......she made sure that didn't happen by being the cutest, smartest puppy around! Right when we got to the airport I heard what I thought was a coyote yelping in the room. I have never heard such a little drama queen! Once I took her out of her crate it was love at first sight. I couldn't get over how beautiful she was......her eyes could make you melt! When we brought her home we thought we'd keep them separate for a bit in fear of Alphie clobbering her! Boy were we wrong! This little girl has spunk! She beats HIM around now! Everyday her personality gets stronger and we're SO thankful for her. Instead of Alphie teaching her the ways of the house, she teaches him! Most importantly, they love each other very much! They have their nightly run routine up and down the hallway.....then they stop for a "crunch" break in the kitchen for some food.......which they happily eat together. They make me SO happy and I love them more than anything! Thank you once again for raising such beautiful & healthy babies! My vet says she has an extremely strong heart beat! I'm guessing that's why she's so strong in spirit for being such a little girl!"
