"Dear Laura,
     I would like to give you an update on Louis (Lou-wee). He is doing so well! Everything is a chew toy to him. He has so much energy, but he is not frantic or hyper. I am amazed at how smart he is! Louis has figured out what to do to get what he wants. his potty training is also going very well, with only a few accidents. It took him a while to get comfortable waking and playing on the grass, now his favorite thing is to stretch out and sunbathe on the warm grass. Since he is so fast, it is hard to get a really good picture of him. Most are a grey blur of fur! The ones I did take are very sweet. He is truly the best, and most beautiful dog.

     P.S.  I love him sooo much, he sleeps between my neck and shoulder every night. We keep each other warm and he feels like a little stuffed animal!"
